Subject:  Cost of ownership competitive analysis of

                 Moisture analyzers by technology

One of our competitor’s websites presents a graphical illustration of their estimate of the cost of ownership of moisture analyzers for natural gas monitoring based on sensor technology type. It reflects their cost estimates of a specific model based on TDLAS technology vs. Quartz Crystal and Aluminum Oxide sensor based analyzers. This chart reflects very favorably on their TDLAS based model and they have used this argument to their advantage in promoting their product line to the industry.

We view the comparison as incomplete as it does not provide the customer with ALL of the facts to make an unbiased and intelligent decision based on full data. Any comparison of moisture analyzers and technologies should certainly include the electrolytic principle; an absolute measurement based on Faraday’s Law, for some inexplicable reason, this technology was omitted in this comparison. We would like to correct this oversight and give you the complete picture.

The attached PDF file shows their original graph without the MEECO product on the left and “the rest of the picture” including our product in the right hand side graph. The complete data certainly paints a different picture and deserves consideration. Our extensive customer base in this industry as well as other markets validates the customers’ choice of MEECO when given all the facts and experience with our performance.

Let’s make sure that everyone sees the complete picture. Don’t let “specmanship” get in the way of

effective decision making. We did not generate the comparison but we’re ready, willing, and able to be compared and welcome the challenge. The MEECO product line, based on the electrolytic principle, has been the analyzer of choice for many years for the natural gas transmission, distribution, and custody transfer applications. That’s why we have presented the data here. When all the costs are considered combined with performance and overall quality and reliability, MEECO provides the best return for the customer’s investment.

We hope this information will be useful in your selection and cost/benefit analysis.

Best regards,
