Hi Peter,
I checked the Lambda_S in Fig 2 of the RMP paper (from
Harold's calculation). Its gives 692s-1 for ga=1.2670 and
would give 695s-1 for ga=1.2695. Very close to the 691s-1
in the spreadsheet. On the corrections for ppm and op with
values of lambda_ppm = 2.3e6s-1 and lambda_op =8.0e4s-1
(scaling the former by density) I get by quick calc about
95.1% singlets, 4.8% ortho's and 0.8% para's. Volodya
had studied exactly how these numbers changs the
effective electron dissappearance rate - I'll check with him.
I think leaving RMC alone is appropriate (we've no
reason to assum the correction is also 3% and I'm sure its
negligible on the scale of the errors). I think shifting OMC
by 3% is reasonable - did Marciano say anything about
the singlet/triplet/ortho/para dependece of such radiative
corrections?
Cheers, Tim.
