Dear Peter,
Thanks for the detailed and careful work of Steve and Tom. Congratulate them
on my behalf.
We discussed with René this friday the questions (mostly minor) their work
raises and he will convey you also my questions at the meeting,
unfortunately I can not participate.
I tried to locate in the reports the impact of the cut on the distance
between the muon-stop position and the line of the electron-track. I am not
sure to have found the answer.
This cut is influenced both by the mu-proton diffusion and the smearing of
the electron-track due to Coulomb-scattering in the walls. Was it really out
of question to observe in the TPC the MIP-s, as originally hoped for?
