Dear MuCappers,
in anticipation of our upcoming collaboration meeting at UIUC on October
6--8, I have prepared the following report on UC Berkeley's analysis of
the 2004 (Run8) data:
http://weak0.physics.berkeley.edu/weakint/research/muons/private/tbanks_dir/Documents/UCB-Run8-analysis-report.pdf
This report contains my preliminary results for the blinded muon
disappearance rate in hydrogen. Hopefully my (and Steve's) results will
be judged sufficiently robust as to permit us to proceed with the
unblinding of the 2004 DAQ clock frequency at the close of the meeting.
To avoid a proliferation of document versions and ensure that we can all
refer to a common document at the October meeting, I will try to keep my
report's content fixed as much as possible and postpone revisions until
after the meeting.
Happy reading,
Tom
