Air conditioning

Dear all,

although I know Dave and Peter enjoy their holidays right now, I'm 
sending this email in order not to forget to update you on the status of 
the A/C unit for the area. I already did that last week on the MuLan 
teleconference but I think you couldn't join that.
I was in contact with the Hallendienst to find out if they could support 
us with this issue. First of all, they also have to buy new A/C units 
and each of the ones we use in the barrack is ~ 3'000CHF. And they 
probably aren't good for this purpose since they easily freeze. Due to 
the summer break they are also low in manpower and cannot help us 
closing the area besides some additional stones at the entrance side. 
The rest (namely the roof and the remaining open front) is up to us to 
close with styrofoam (or something similar). If we plan to do that, we 
first should know what kind of A/C units in terms of cooling power are 
needed. Kevin estimated that we'd need ~10kW. The borrowed unit has 
5.4kW. So we might end up buying two of those (~ 3000CHF each).
