COBRA

Dear all,

on Friday Robert Scheuermann called me and told me that they were 
affected by the COBRA magnet in the area next to the magnet with their 
muSR experiment. They see a strong decrease in their rate. So, we met 
with Peter Kettle and Mr. Ootani and discussed the problem. At the 
moment, the muegamma collaboration is aware of the issue. They will look 
once again in the possibility of shielding their area. Additional, 
shielding the beamline with some kind of mu-metal foil was mentioned as 
a possibility.
So, at least the problem is known and it hopefully will be solved. 
Nevertheless, I will discuss with the Hallendienst the possibility of 
shielding the rest of our area for MuLan. I'll let you know of any new 
information.
