beam tuning elog

Dear Peter,
  I have some questions about your elog regarding beam tuning.

First, I calculate our ASK71/ASK72 as 1.088 .  We can adjust ASK72 up to
8675 from 8528 to reduce the ratio to 1.07 .  

>From there, we would need to be careful not to misinterpret the
results.  Should we first adjust the FS72 slits to cut into the last 10%
of the beam, or should we first adjust the separator magnet?  

It seems to me if we first scan the sep and center the vertical focus on
the mupc, we could then play with FS72 to determine where the beam really
is.  We may then need to perform a secondary SEP scan to find the new
optimum for the new slit settings.

We can do this while in production mode, right?

If the beam comes back in a timely fashion, I will try to do this tonight.
