[Collab] important update on swiss visa situation

I just got a new message from Mrs. Van-Loon concerning the
situation with the Swiss entrance visa for PSI stays:
Here is my translation:


Important update on Swiss Visa information:

Today PSI got an important message from the immigration office
concerning entering switzerland with multiple entry visa:
Person having such a multiple entry visa (120 days/year)
can during a calendar year stay only a maximum of 120 days at PSI.
If a person with a multiple entry visa
dated Aug.14, 2005 to Aug.13, 2006 already stayed 86 days at PSI
in 2005, than he/she can only stay additional 34 days until
Aug. 13,  2006.
If that peson wants to stay longer, PSI has to ask for an
extra permission for short term stays. Such persons then have to
obtain a single entry visa in the USA and enter switzerland using this
new single entry visa. Being then at PSI, they obtain a
"foreigner card". With this card one can go without
problems to Germany (Waldshut for dinner) and renter
Switzerland, or one could even leave for a short while to the US
and reenter Switzerland.

Multiple entry visa will only be issued if a person intends
to travel at least 12 times per year to PSI.


Maybe you  and your collaboration have a list who and
and how many days these persons have been at PSI in 2005.
And a provisional plan for coming in 2006 ?
Who will come and how long.
Using this information we could determine if and for whom
we have the necessity to obtain a permission for short term stay,
and which documents we will need.

Guten Tag Herr Lauss

Eine wichtige Auskunft zur Einreise mit Multiple Entry Visa
ausgestellt im 2005 bekamen wir heute vom
Migrationsamt: Personen mit einem Multiple Entry Visa (120 Tage/Jahr)
knnen whrend einem Jahr max.
120 Tage ans PSI kommen. Wenn eine Person mit einem multiple Entry
visa vom 14. 08.05 bis 13.08.06 in
2005 bereits 86 Tage ans PSI war, kann er in 2006 bis zum 13.08.06
max. noch 34 Tage ans PSI kommen.
Wenn er lnger ans PSI kommen wird, mssen wir eine
Aufenthaltsbewilligung fr Kurzaufenthalter
beantragen. Personen fr denen wir so eine Aufenthaltsbewilligung
beantragen, mssen dann in den USA
ein single entry visa abholen und mit diesem Visum in der
Schweiz einreisen. Wenn sie hier sind,
bekommen sie dann einen sogenannten Auslnderausweis.
Mit diesem Auslnderausweis knnen sie z.B.
problemlos nach Waldshut zum Abendessen fahren und nachher
wieder in der Schweiz einreisen, oder auch
mal kurz wieder nach Amerika ausreisen und wieder
in die Schweiz zurckkehren.

Multiple entry visa werden nur noch erteilt, wenn eine
Person innerhalb eines Jahres mindestens 12x ans
PSI reisen wird.

Haben Sie fr ihre Kollaboration vielleicht eine Liste wie
viele Tage die Personen jeweils  in 2005 am
PSI waren und einen  Einsatzplan, evt. einen
provisorischen, woraus ersichtlich ist welche Personen
wann und wie lange ans PSI kommen werden? Anhand
von diesen Informationen knnten wir dann fr jede
Person mitteilen, ob und fr wie lange eine
Aufenthaltsbewilligung fr Kurzaufenthalter beantragt
werden muss und welche Unterlagen wir fr den Antrag brauchen.
