AW: UCN kicker signal
Dave,
Claude and Urs Rohrer told me later this day that kicker operation isn't an
issue this year.
Nevertheless, I want to be prepared for eventual (and probably not
announced) tests
- any thoughts on low-current power supplies for piE3 ???

Robert,
Thanks for this important warning. We will probably want to
do something similar regarding a pause in the data taking. A signal of
some sorts is important. We will need to talk it over here to see what
suits us best.

Subject: UCN kicker signal
Hi,
what I have learned now is that UCN will run with 1% duty cycle using
the full beam kicked ecery 6-8 min. for about 7 seconds.
This will seriously disturb our ALC experiments.
I will ask for the delivery of an 'kicker announcement signal' 10
seconds before kicking in order to stop our DAQ and start a WAIT gate.
Are there any (similar or additional) requirements from MuCAP or MuLAN?
regards
robert
