Hi, Bernhard,
3) Last year, the idea was that I would use these pulsers to improve the
DAQ stability remotely. Of course, that didn't work out, and the DAQ
was not functional until I arrived in person in August. This year, the
point would be to keep the system warmed up and ready to go until we
resume in April. I think that seems like a useful goal. It would be
easy to put a ~2 kHz pulser into the test input on the eSC discriminators
and to set the compressors into test mode. The TDC400s would be slightly
more challenging, unless there is a test input on the TPC preamps (there
may be). We could then run in a mode where we take this data and throw
it away without archiving.
4) Yes, I would like to have all of the FADC paraphernalia available
in Berkeley.
I will attempt to call in tomorrow to discuss this and any other business.
Thanks,
