comments on meetings and sys. measurements

Sorry, but I will not be able to participate to the meeting. 
However, I have some comments about use or Argon.

I checked the information given by the Maev and can only remember that the
whole story with Ar was solved by Roland Jacot-Guillarmod in his last
publication about transfer(Phys. Rev. A 55 (1997) 3447). We discovered in
Fribourg, after my work, that Argon was also having an epithermal componenet
and thus the previous measurmenets were not leading to good results. So the
former disagreements were gone.
Therefore, if one need to chose an element, I would recommend Ar over Ne or
other material.

following Fred's proposal, we will have Gizmo running during our daily 
meetings so that everybody can join in order listen to the news. It's 
not meant to be a teleconference but rather more that also people not at

To join and listen you have to:

 2. Call fcc or freeconferencecall.
 3. Enter the access code 599004# when prompted. (You have to click on  
the dialpad tab and click on the numbers).
 4. A headset is desirable, but any speaker+microphone combo should work

We'll usually have our meeting at 5pm (local PSI time).
