Hi, Peter,
This news comes as a relief. My first reply began with a comment along
the lines of "You're not really planning to send this piece of crap to Mike
and Gary, are you?" but then I made the mistake of deciding to be polite.
This looks like a nice description of the LESS concept. One point that
was not clear to me is what you mean by "The effect of these steps can
be checked by closing the kicker without incident muon signal..."
Can you explain a little more about the measurement that you suggest here?
