Re: tdc400
Hi, Peter,

Excellent. I was pretty certain that it had to be the clock, on the Sherlock
Holmes principle that "When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then
whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."
While looking up this quote, I found another one: "It is a capital mistake to
theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit
theories, instead of theories to suit facts." I claim that mainstream HEP
theory--SUSY, extra dimensions, etc.--has fallen into this trap.
One suggestion: would you mind converting your .bmp files from the scope
to .png before posting them to the logbook?
(a) You can rotate them into the correct orientation at the same time.
(b) They are compressed dramatically (from 301K to 8K in this case).
(c) They are inlined in the page rather than forcing the user to download
them separately. This will also make it substantially easier to print
the online logbook someday.
I recommend the command "convert -rotate 90 TEK00000.BMP TEK00000.png".
Now it's time to move on to the excess deadtime problem.
Thanks,
