What you see ?
The MuCAP Slow-control is located on PC620.psi.ch, a PC running windows-2000
in the muE4 area.
It monitors presently the following parameters:
Unless otherwise stated, the average value over a 4 second measurement
period is taken.
Temperatures: Sensor: 100 Ohm
Pt- Resistor (Temp1-4)
1000 Ohm Pt - Resistor (Temp5)
Temp1 - Magnet
upper coil
Temp2 - Magnet
lower coil
Temp3 - center
of upper half cylinder of hydrogen vessel
Temp4 - outside
of downstream flansch of hydrogen vessel
Temp5 - upstream
side of inner copper shielding of ePC1 above the preamps
Temp6 - presently
not connected
1-3, 4-6 display the values of the corrresponding
temperaturs
Standard temperatures are: coil with cooling on: ~ 18 degree C
flansch
~ 25 degree C
The picture above shows the temperature
during heating of the hydrogen vessel.
Magnetic Field:
B1 - Field measured on the upper half of the hydrogen cylinder
B2 - Field measured on the lower half of the
hydrogen cylinder
should
be around 0 or 70 Gauss
Hydrogen Pressure: Pressure Sensor
Hydrogen vessel filled = 9.8 bar
ePC Gas Flow: piezoelectric pressure meter
shows the pressure
in the ePC1 gas line, 200 points scanned over 1 second
one sees dips, which correspond to
the gas still bubbling
ePC chamber gas flow: shows the average value
of ePC gas flow in 4 seconds.
non flat means the gas is still
bubbling
Currents in TPC anodes and cathodes: Heidelberg custom
made current meter
currents
usually drift between 0 and 10 nA
Set Trip Currents for both channels
Standard: 50 nA and 160 nA (internally multiplied times 5 to
give the real current in nA)
Trip Alarm: The Trip Alarm goes on when one of the currents
shows a reading above 199 nA at least one time.
PSI-Channels: Shows the input of the PSI parallel
port slow-control crate which will be located in the MuCAP electronics upstairs.
The little radar-smiley shows you if the page is still being renewed
or if you look at an old page.
Current data file:
show the filename and path where the present data are saved.
You can select a file name on program
start 9 when you click the arrow
all input data are on file, also the channels which are
not displayed presently.
the file displays date, time, scannumber, 24
channels from the PC620 daq-cards, 2 channels from the RS232 connection,
8 channels from the mu-logger
