unblinding meeting Oct 7-9, 2006

Dear MuCap colleagues,

In our analysis teleconference we proposed the following
dates for the unblinding meeting of our run8 (2004) data:

Saturday 7-Oct to Monday 9-Oct at UIUC, Illinois

The date was driven by Tom and Steve's estimate on the
time needed to finish the analysis, and the plan to release
a first result on the APS meeting Oct. 25-28.

It will be difficult to reschedule, but if you want to come and
have serious conflicts, let's discuss that as soon as possible.

A tentative time line and schedule would be the following (to
be updated with your input)

9/15/06   Deadline: Analysis reports are sent to the collaboration by
          Tom and Steve.

10/2-10/6 Informal meetings, Claude and Tom at Illinois to discuss
          issues.

10/7 Morning. Start meeting. S&T presentations.

10/8 S&T presentation continued
     Fred presentation data quality and mu+
     Brendan presentations on "Additional Info from run 9,10"

10/9 Final error budget discussion
     Unblinding of the hidden clock frequency
     Presentation, publication policy discussion
     Further work discussion

I apologize in advance if not everybody can stay for the unblinding.
We could do it on Sunday, but I feel that the critical and careful 
review of the analyses has higher (highest) priority. We will make an
accurate protocol of the sessions, in particular on Monday.

It will be an important moment in the life of MuCap. I hope you will
be able to attend.
