Re: external impurity analysis

Dear Claude, Peter and Fred,

If you decide to have an external analysis sample,
then I would proceed the following way;

1) tell Mister HArtmann at PSI immediately that and
when you want to ship the hydrogen bottle
the volume should have a D.O.T. number to be shippable

2) Phone Mr. Grosser at Airliquid if and when
he can do the analysis

3) If Berkeley should pay, Fred has to get Melissa to write a
purchase order for it. Analysis cannot be done on his pro-card.

4) Try to ship the bottle immediately after sample taking and
ship it directly to AirLiquide.
- shipping it first to Berkeley or Illinois and then further on
is complicated and takes so long that the sample does not make sense.

Sensitivity:

Equipment: Valco HID-GC is for N2 detection.
	   N2 analysis ~ 10 ppb

Equipment:
Trace Analytical RGA-5 GC-FID-RGD is used for CO, CO2, CH4, and HMHC
O2, CO, CO2 ~ 1 ppb
non-methan hydrocarbons up to C=4 ~ 3ppb

If you decide for another external analysis,
I have to say that I am sorry but wont be able to help
to pursue it at this time, as I will be moving my whole
household this Friday and move with my family on Sunday
to Europe. So I will be fairly busy the next days.
