glitch in background of UIUC spectrum

I had prepared a page before the teleconference about the
"glitch" in the background that I mentioned:

Please take a look.
I don't think the bump was present in earlier passes over
the skimmed data, but that doesn't necessarily mean the
skimming is the problem; There have been significant
changes to my code since then.  Since the skimming interval
was apparently 40us not 35us, my first guess about the cause
of the bump must be wrong.
