RE: xauth
I just deleted the old runs in /TempDataStorage and freed 24% on the / directory on dolphin. However I faced again the problem with the Xauthorization. When I ssh from cheetah to dolphin I got the first message in the attached file. The second error appeared after starting emacs, so even locally on cheetah I couldn't open a display. When this behavior was still there the command:
[data@cheetah ~]$ xauth list
[data@cheetah ~]$
just gave nothing.
I now restart the Xserver and for the moment everything is normal. The command:
[data@cheetah ~]$ xauth list
cheetah/unix:12 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 6fef61601bc93e6d672f70dc1025fce2
cheetah/unix:13 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 eb98ca26faa5fa172e9d92d962d22024
cheetah/unix:0 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 8dec01a89a388f0eac26967b1b464123
localhost.localdomain/unix:0 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 8dec01a89a388f0eac26967b1b464123
[data@cheetah ~]$
gave a nice list of those 'magic' cookies as t should be. I'm not sure if this problem is also connected with the full disc but just in case that it occurs again, I wanted to give you a description of the symptoms, Fred.
Nice evening
Peter

Hi, Brendan,
Root filesystem on cheetah was 100% full. I cleared up some space, primarily
with a "yum clean all" to delete the rpm files from various upgrades. That
made almost 4 GB of free space. The other good candidate would be
/TempDataStorage which has 43 GB of MIDAS files from December. If you
can verify that these files are copied somewhere (or that you don't need them)
then please delete this directory.
Thanks,

Also use the `xhost' program to verify that it is set to permit
