Concerning housing I think the best options are the following:
ALS housing: would be a nice option, but nothing is available
end of February
(LBNL contact Barbara Phillips - BEPhillips@lbl.gov)
Therefore
French Hotel: The LBNL rate is $85
Durant Hotel: The LBNL rate is $100
I'd ask Melissa, to book all the rooms via LBNL.
There are several other Motels down on University Ave,
which look a bit less nice, in the 70-100 $ range
but I would definitely
discourage from any Hotel/Motel which is on San Pablo Ave.

Southwest non-stop
Midway - Oakland (89$ one-way fare)
