It's true that the archive is very slow compared to archiving to tape.
The SCSI card is still in tb05, but any LVD SCSI card (?) should work
for you (check the back of the tape drive for more info). I can send
one back if you're having problems. There are a few in a drawer at UIUC.
You could also archive to a spare disk, then move that drive to the
mulan barrack. Check where the network connections go, specifically. I
think the bottleneck is the fiberoptic hub that connects to the PSI
network. It wouldn't help if you move data to the mulan barrack only to
have both plugged into the same hub.
