To be sure that we are speaking about the right cable, I
have seen external cables starting from the "hole" in the
back door (meaning not plugged to anything there, just
sticking out) and reaching again the cabinet just near the
ground star place, on the external brass plate. The visible
connector (outside) is a Fischer type. The cable is the
so-called lemo one. I checked each of the cables. Indeed, it
seems that the external cables for HV1 and HV2 are longer
than for MV1 and MV2. But I can not see that there is nearly
2m more.
However, there is only one cabinet (HV2) which has the full
length made of two cables. All other cabinets are having
only one, more or less long, cable. Thus, we will be able to
reverse the situation only by cutting the longer cable and
adding a connector. It is simple, but will require some
parts, time, and work in a later date.
Let me know if I am going in the right direction. My other
comment is that I was trying to trace the cable inside the
cabinet. However, in the actual position, the doors can open,
but not fully. Thus, one can not remove the cover plate of
the electronics part with physically disconnect the
door. This to say that I have no idea where the cables are
going inside the electronic part of the kicker.
Best regards,
Francoise
