RE: WFD
Hi Fred and Co,
I don't know personaly the RF group people. I know that they "live" in the
Loge building.
However, I have found the following information:
RF Section: Peter.Sigg@psi.ch WLGA C25, Tel: 32 34
Therefore, I would directly talk to this person and he will be able to send
you to the correct one, if not finding the clock himself.
best regards,
Francoise

Dear Brendan,
We had some good discussions between Rob, Dave and myself.
The plan is the following.
i) We start with the 7th (extra) crate and the WFDs available
in this crate.
ii) We use the sin wave distributor from BU. We make the gating
fanouts with standard NIM modules.
iii) We should ask the PSI rf group, whether we can borrow
a 500 Mhz sine wave generator (Francoise to you know
the names). Then we would swap the PSI generator with the
BU precision generator, so MuCap can setup with the precision
generator and MuLan still keeps operational.
This should get us into business and Valodja can try to get them
running.
iii) Somewhat later, coordinated with MuLan test requirements, we'll
take out the remaining WFDs from a suitable MuLan crate and
carefully
increase the numbers of WFDs in our crate. We'll try to diagnose
the occupancy problem.
iv) If this fails and we cannot get to 16 operating WFDs per crate,
we'll
use an additonal crate from MuLan. Before doing that, we should
have
further communications with our MuLan friends.
Good luck
Peter
