wire chambers

Dear Peter,
  I know that the hallendienst intend to raise the detector 6 cm tomorrow
during the morning, but I am unsure how Peter left it with them--that
is, I don't know for sure if they are waiting for steve or myself.  As
such, I would like to turn the wire chambers off later tonight as a
precautionary measure in case they start without me in the morning.

  My plan is to turn them off before I head in for the night, unless you
email  me that you will turn them off later in the evening.  I don't
think the extra 8-10 hours will have too large an effect either way, but
we dont' have to turn them off any earlier than necessary.  So please
email me if you want to take care of it, otherwise I'll bring them down
in an hour or two.
