RE: MuCap
Dear Peter,
At first view, your idea sounds nice. However, if anything like that is
done, make sure that the survey group is taking the detector measurements
AFTER such a work. Therefore, you may reach some time conflict there about.
Best regards,
Francoise

Subject: MuCap
Hi,
some things to mention (to whom it may concern)
- Adrian Gnädiger just proposed, that we could lift the MuCap detector
by 60 mm instead of changing the rails. The advantage is that the rails
can stay unchanged and the change of the detector height could be done
next week without lifting it and then it needs no further action in the
future. Question: Would such a change be possible or are there any
restrictions? From the mechanical point of view Adrian and I think it is
but maybe for some other reasons we cannot do that. I think its a smart
idea.
- I was not sure about the number of WFDs yesterday so I counted them
today. At the moment the maximum number of WFDs at MuLan is 13 (not 15
as we stated yesterday on the conference). With this the amount of wrong
channels is quite low! Just in case that this could change the
calculation from yesterday.
- The TPC rails are with high probability NOT at the Hallendienst. Mr.
Gnädiger said, that normally all the TPC stuff is put together on a car
and brought to the east side.
Greetings
Peter
