Hi, Peter,
Assuming that you have access to a computer with an SATA interface (most new
motherboards have them built in these days) then this sounds like a good
choice. The controllers tend to be more efficient and the cabling is
less likely to be flaky than in an IDE system; fewer conductors generally
means fewer problems. The optimal $/GB seems to be at $102 for 250 GB these
days, but you're only paying about 20% above that.
Did you receive a response from Valeri/Kumar about the network transfer?
